Our School

A STEAM Middle School

Rose Park Magnet Math and Science is a premier middle school magnet program in Nashville that offers a high-quality educational program with a curriculum emphasis on math and science.

Here you'll find passionate educators, supportive community members, engaged parents and amazing students who are all committed to making Rose Park great.

We are focused on providing high-quality learning opportunities for students and teachers through challenging math and science experiences with a STEM program that is integrated across content areas. In addition to a focus on math and science, we also stress hands-on learning opportunities that can occur in any subject area utilizing an interdisciplinary, hands-on approach in a safe, orderly and nurturing environment. We also offer Advanced Placement classes and the Encore program for gifted and talented students.

Our school is conveniently located in an area of Nashville that is surrounded by a wealth of community resources that provide unique learning experiences for our students. The STEM program expands outside of the classroom through community partnerships with the Mathematics and Science Education department at Vanderbilt University, the Science department at Fisk University and the Center for Science Outreach at Vanderbilt University. We are also excited about our newest partnership with Microsoft, which will allow students to engage in cutting-edge technology while exploring, discovering and connecting across the world.

These valuable partnerships, a rigorous curriculum, and a commitment to building strong relationships among the entire school community is why Rose Park continues to rank as a top schools in the district and state for student growth and achievement.

At the end of 8th grade, students have a direct pathway to Martin Luther King Magnet School, one of the top-ranked high schools in the nation, if they meet the academic requirements.
